My employer came in one morning and fired me, there was no notice of any kind or reason for the termination. What remedies are available to me can I sue him.

You are alleging ‘wrongful termination’. Usually an employment letter provides for notice before termination. However Where cause exists, the contract usually allows an employer to dismiss the employee without providing any notice. So yes you may sue if the contract of your employment was breached however, for a definitive position we will have to make recourse to your letter of employment.
