The rights of a delayed domestic flight passenger in Nigeria are as follows –
1. Where the domestic flight scheduled departure time is delayed by one hour, the airline must provide a passenger with free refreshments and the facility to make phone calls or send text messages or emails.
2. Where the delay is between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m., or at a time when the airport is closed at the point of departure or final destination, hotel accommodation and transport between the airport and place of accommodation (hotel or other accommodation) must be provided to the passenger by the airline.
3. Where a domestic flight is delayed by more than two hours, a passenger is entitled to immediate cash reimbursement of the full cost of their ticket.
Other rights are available to domestic flight passengers depending on the wrong occasioned by the airlines.
